Regular logbook servicing is one of the simplest ways to protect your vehicle, maintain its performance and help avoid unexpected repair bills. At Rye Automotive & Tyre Service, we provide professional logbook servicing for all makes and models from our workshop in Rye. A logbook service follows the manufacturer’s recommended schedule for your vehicle’s age and kilometres travelled. It is more than just an oil change—it is a structured inspection and maintenance service designed to keep important components working as they should. What is included in a logbook service? The exact items completed will depend on your vehicle’s make, model and service interval. Your service may include: Engine oil and oil filter replacement Inspection of brakes, tyres and suspension Fluid checks, including coolant, brake fluid and transmission fluid where required Battery and charging-system checks Inspection of lights, wipers, belts and hoses Air and cabin filter checks or replacement where due Safety inspections and diagnostic checks A review of any warning lights, noises or performance concerns Our technicians use quality parts and up-to-date diagnostic equipment to service petrol, diesel, 4WD and commercial vehicles. We can also maintain your vehicle’s manufacturer service schedule during the new-car warranty period. Why keep up with your logbook servicing? Staying on schedule gives your vehicle the care it needs before small issues become larger problems. It can help improve reliability, fuel efficiency and resale value, while also giving you confidence for everyday driving around Rye, the Mornington Peninsula and beyond. For vehicles regularly used for beach trips, family travel, towing, stop-start driving or longer Peninsula journeys, routine servicing is especially worthwhile. Sand, salt air, changing road conditions and frequent short trips can all add extra wear over time. Can an independent mechanic service a new car? Yes. You are not required to return to a dealership for routine servicing just because your car is under warranty. Provided the service is completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications, using appropriate parts and fluids, your statutory new-car warranty remains protected. Rye Automotive & Tyre Service is a Repco Authorised Service centre, with Auto-Tech trained staff and a nationwide warranty network for added peace of mind. Book your next logbook service in Rye Whether your vehicle is due for its next scheduled service or you are unsure when it was last serviced, the team at Rye Automotive & Tyre Service can help. We will check your manufacturer’s requirements, explain the work needed and keep your vehicle on track.

New Car Service in Rye

Engines that operate through internal combustion rely on large amounts of clean air to ensure the fuel burns properly and generates the power needed to drive the vehicle. At Rye Automotive & Tyre Service in Rye, we understand how vital it is to keep your car's air filter in good condition as part of protecting your engine's health. Your engine requires extremely clean air to function efficiently. Dirt, dust, and other particles entering the engine can cause serious damage. That’s where the air filter comes into play. It ensures the air entering the combustion chambers is clean, shielding key engine components such as the pistons and cylinders from wear and damage. Why Replace Your Air Filter? Save on Fuel Costs: Your engine requires the correct balance of fuel and air to run efficiently. A clogged air filter restricts airflow, causing your engine to run inefficiently – often referred to as ‘running rich.’ This not only puts additional stress on your engine but can also increase fuel consumption by up to 10%. No one likes spending more on petrol than necessary! Protect Your Engine: Over time, air filters become clogged and weaker, increasing the risk of damage. A damaged or overly dirty air filter can allow harmful particles to enter the engine, potentially leading to expensive repairs. Benefits of Replacing Your Air Filter: Extends the life of your engine Improves fuel efficiency Reduces vehicle emissions At Rye Automotive & Tyre Service, we always check the condition of your air filter during every full car service. Whether it’s a major or minor service, or one that follows your manufacturer’s handbook or logbook guidelines, you can trust us to keep your engine running smoothly.

Keep your engine healthy with clean air filters. Improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and extend engine life. Visit Rye Automotive & Tyre Service for expert maintenance and reliable car servicing.
